OMI Pilates is scheduled to open in north Phoenix this August as an independent studio focused on unheated mat Pilates. The studio will be near Northern Avenue and State Route 51, though the exact address has not yet been released.

Founder Dasia Sade worked for years as a registered nurse before starting OMI. During that time, she saw women dealing with stress, burnout and a sense of disconnection from themselves, and Pilates became one way she found balance while working in a hospital setting.

The studio will keep classes small, with a maximum of 10 participants. Sessions will focus on precise movement, breath work and mindfulness, with trained instructors guiding members through a calmer alternative to faster fitness formats.

Sade is opening OMI after watching Phoenix's wellness scene grow over the past decade while seeing room for a quieter approach. The studio has been sharing updates about its August opening through Instagram.
